Terms of use
These are the terms for using Last Rep, the app and the service behind it. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. "We" and "us" means the developer of Last Rep.
What you get
A personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own, for your own training. The app, its programmes, its code and its design are ours or our licensors'. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or redistribute it, or use it to build a competing service. The exercise library is drawn from the Free Exercise DB, which is public domain; map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL.
Your account
The app creates an anonymous account on your device when you turn on sync. You are responsible for the device it lives on. If you add an email address later, you are responsible for keeping that mailbox secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is immediate and permanent.
Fitness and health disclaimer
- Every number the app shows (calories, VO2max, VDOT, target paces, ranks, estimated one-rep maximums) is an estimate from published formulas applied to what you entered and what your sensors reported. They can be wrong.
- Coaching cues ("pick it up", "ease up", rest timers, programme structure) are general guidance from training research, not advice for you specifically.
- Heart-rate readings come from your strap or watch and can be inaccurate. Never rely on the app to warn you of a dangerous heart rate.
- Programmes involving barbells, cables or plyometrics carry a risk of injury. Learn the movements from a qualified person before loading them.
Acceptable use
If you use a feature that shows your name to other people (a league, a comparison), pick a name that is not abusive, impersonating, or misleading, and do not use the app to harass anyone. We may remove a name or an account that breaks this. Do not attempt to access other users' data, overload the service, or interfere with it.
The service
Sync and the coaching backend are provided as they are, and may be unavailable, changed, or withdrawn. Your training log is stored on your device first; the server copy is a convenience for restoring it. Export your data from Settings if you want your own copy.
No warranty, limited liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app or reliance on anything it shows, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free app is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
App stores
If you got the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply, and they are not responsible for the app or these terms. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as far as their own rules require.
Ending things
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. Sections on liability and intellectual property survive.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and the app tells you on the next launch. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute is heard in the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you a right to something else.
